Аннотация: Обобщены многолетние (1968-2004 гг.) материалы по размерно-половой структуре круглой сардинеллы, обитающей в районе Мавритании на акватории 16гр.08'- 20гр.46' с.ш. и 16гр.09'-17гр.26' з.д. Определена длина наступления половой зрелости 50% и 100% особей. Самцы созревали при меньшей длине, чем самки: по среднемноголетним данным 50% самок созревали при длине 20,8 см, самцы - при 19,6 см. Все самки становились половозрелыми при длине 32-33 см, самцы - 28-29 см. Установлено, что нерест проходил в зимне-весенне-летний сезон - с февраля по август и в октябре. Нерестилась круглая сардинелла в верхних слоях воды неритической и океанической зон, в основном в тёмное время суток. В формуле зависимости между длиной и массой, значения коэффициента b в разные годы варьировали в пределах 2,67-3,56./The materials if many years (1968-2004) on the length-sex structure of round sardinella inhabiting the Mauritanian waters in the area of 16degrees08'-20degrees46'N and 16degrees09'-17degrees26'W were summarized. The length at sexual maturity attainment was determined for 50% and 100% of the specimens. The males matured at a smaller length as compared with females: according to mean annual data, 50% of females matured at the length of 20,8 cm and males at 19,6 cm. All the females became sexually mature at the length of 32-33 cm and males at 28-29 cm. It was established that the spawning took place in winter-spring-summer season - from Febriary to August and in October. The round sardinella spawned in the upper layers of the neritic and oceanic zone water, mainly in the night-time. In the formula of the length to weight dependence, the coefficient b values in different years varied between 2,67 and 3,56.
